During the first week of August, Martha Sprow, Director of Social Work of Frank Adoption Center, MD and Paulina Szyrmer, International Adoption Program Coordinator of Frank Foundation CAI traveled to Warsaw, Poland on a fact-finding mission. They investigated the current needs of children in Poland in order to see how Frank Foundation can become involved in humanitarian assistance to children of that country. While there, they visited several orphanages, met with the directors of the three centers authorized to coordinate international adoptions, as well as the Director of the Department of Social Assistance and Family Integration within the Ministry of Social Policy. Many of the various needs were identified and Frank is now putting together its plan for future work in Poland.
