The Scholarship is One-Time But Substantial
From “Novgorod Times” September 10, 2003

Frank Foundation Child Assistance International awarded one-time nominal scholarships to twenty freshmen students of Novgorod State University, who either do not have parents or their parents are denied parental rights.

Among the freshmen class of NSU are orphans from the Starorusky, Chudovsky, Valdaysky, Hvoyninsky, Demyansky regions and New Novgorod. The students made the decision themselves whether to accept the whole sum of 10,000 rubles or to keep an account in the bank and spend the money little by little.

Employees of Novgorod branch of Russian Children’s Fond have a partnership with Frank Foundation since 1992. Since then, they were able to help support many children who were left without parental care. During the scholarship award ceremony, the Children’s Fund presented small gifts to the students, reminded them of their rights, and explained who in the regional center would be able to assist them during their years at the university.
