Gift for the Orphans of Sverdlovsk Oblast to the Beginning of the New School Year
    
    To the beginning of this school year the Ministry of general secondary and professional education of Sverdlovsk Oblast, together with American foundations KidsFirst and FRANK made a gift to the inmates of the orphanages of the region. These foundations had gathered about 500,000 Rubles, which were determined for the purposes of orphanages and boarding-schools.
    
    
    
    On September 5-7, 2006 representatives of the families who took part in the fundraiser – Cheryl Cleveland and Carol Johnson, - along with the representatives of FRANK Foundation – Irina Nikiforova, Marat Asayanov and Olga Chebykina – visited several orphanages of Sverdlovsk Oblast to personally present the gifts that had been purchased for the collected money.
    
    
    
    On September 5 the delegation was in Krasnouralsk Orphanage where to the beginning of the school year were delivered: backpacks, pensil-boxes, copy-books, sketch-books, writing materials, paper and many other things including clothes. Children were delighted with the gifts. We wish them success in studies!
    
    
    
    On September 6 the guests visited Bulanash boarding-school which is now under major repairs. There is a need here in household appliances that can be used by the children. Refrigerators, washing machines, electric ranges, microwave ovens, electric kettles, irons, etc. were delivered here. We hope that the children will learn to use this modern equipment which would make their lives easier.
    
    
    
    On September 7 clothes, boots, blankets and many other things for children were brought to Pervouralsk specialized baby home # 9. Also money was presented to the orphanage for installation of new window-sets for the coming winter.
