    Vital to our Frank Family summer tradition is our annual “Fore the Children” Charity Golf Classic. With tremendous awe and respect, we thank our loyal Friends of Frank team for creating what has become one of the most anticipated event and rewarding programs of the entire year for all of us. Since 1999, nearly $250,000 has been raised through this wonderful fundraiser. These proceeds, combined with in kind donations and matching grants, have enabled us to contribute nearly half a million dollars to not only vastly improve but even save the lives of children in the former Soviet Union. Since 1999, an orphanage in the Republic of Georgia was completely renovated and a maternity hospital was furnished with equipment and materials, several hundred Kazakh children were treated for tuberculosis, immediate relief was provided to families victimized by a horrific terrorist attack at Beslan school in Russia, a computer lab was installed at a specialized school for the disabled, a Russian orphanage received much needed supplies and repairs, a community sports and recreation center was built, two innovative programs - a housing project and an educational scholarship fund - were launched to provide older orphans who graduated from the state run institutions with a chance to improve their futures through practical training and higher education, and finally a unique project which strives to prevent a child from becoming an orphan in the first place through the provision of small grants which aim to keep the family unit in tact was launched through the family preservation project.
    
    
    The tradition of compassion continues. We are pleased to announce that the Friends of Frank’s 9th Annual Fore the Children Golf Classic, will take place on Friday, August 10, at Stoneleigh Golf Club in Round Hill, Virginia. For those loyal participants who played in previous tournaments, you will note that this year introduces a new club as home for our event. We look forward to this beautiful new course and hope that you continue to support us through your participation!
    
    
    
    The ninth annual Fore the Children Annual Golf Classic will dedicate its proceeds to transform the living conditions of the special needs children of Borovichi by making extensive repairs to this wing and renovate as many of the deteriorating structures as possible. The needs appear to be overwhelming, but with the support and compassion of our friends all around the world, perhaps we can make miracles.
