LITTLE AMBASSADOR AT WORK AGAIN!!!!
Juliana Harris, daughter of Susan and Hillie Harris has been at work again most recently in an effort to raise money that would be used to send a wheelchair to a special needs child in an orphanage in Uralsk, Kazakhstan.
*Juliana who is adopted herself from Ust' Kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan has become one of Frank Foundations little ambassadors, raising money to help orphan children.
Frank Foundation put out a request to Juliana and her family to see if they could raise the $500.00 needed to ship a special wheelchair to Kazakhstan for a child with severe cerebral palsy. The Harris's got to work immediately to see where they could obtain the money. They put out the word at Juliana's school, Greenbrier Christian Academy. Juliana and her mom went and spoke to her school principle Dr. Alisa Dyson and Dr. Dyson joyfully said not to worry, it would be taken care of.
Juliana and her mother also spoke to some other families in her 1st grade
class. Within a few short days the Rinehard family made a wonderful donation from money that they raised at their yard sale. Next Dr. Dyson called and said that the Bigelow family made a large contribution. Juliana's Poppy made
a donation too! In just a short time all of the funds needed were supplied
and the checks were delivered to Frank Foundation. Another mission
accomplished!
Our thanks go out to all of the wonderful families who so generously
contributed to make this request become a reality!
God bless you all. Keep up the good work Juliana!

Late spring 2007, Frank Foundation received a passionate plea from the
Chief doctor of the Uralsk orphanage in Kazakhstan to help a four year
old girl by the name of Elmira Alzhanova. Elmira was born with
cerebral palsy and has never been able to walk. A bright and loving
child, adored by all, Elmira's sunny disposition and character
triumphed over her physical disability. Unfortunately, because of the lack of funds, the child never owned a wheelchair. It has broken the hearts of her caretakers knowing that as she gets older and bigger,
she will eventually not be able to be carried by the staff. Regretfully, Elmira lost many opportunities to join with group activities, go outdoors or even to other rooms.
Through the wonderful work of one of our collegues, Sandy Roberts, we
had purchased a pediatric, special needs wheelchair for the child.
However the funds to ship the wheelchair had yet to be covered.
Frank Foundation turned to one of its most active volunteers – Susan
Harris, who immediately put her daughter, Juliana Harris on the
project. Our littlest ambassador once again, astounded us with her
passion and dedication, raising the funds quickly with grace and love.
